Cytochrome c / Cytochrome c peroxidase

Click picture for the big 1024x768 version

One of the few structures around (me thinks there are about 70 now) of a protein-protein complex solved by X-Ray; Cytochrome c (small) and cytochrome c peroxidase (big). The structure is thought to represent the physiologically relevant electron-tranfer complex. For this scene I used the same trick as with the picture of woody azurin, e.g. the proteins were originally in a backbone spacefill representation and were transformed to a so-called blob object. I played a lot with the lighting for this one.
